This Privacy Policy describes how Leff Technology Holdings, LLC, which does business as 7Mainstreet, 7Mainstreet.com, and 7 Main Street, handles your personal information. This policy uses terms defined in the User Agreement.
7Mainstreet is a business networking, social networking, and e-commerce service that allows Members to create unique business and personal profiles online in order to make connections, transact business, and communicate with old and new contacts.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
If you are a Visitor to 7Mainstreet or are a Member who is not logged in, you can browse the 7Mainstreet Web site without revealing any personal information about yourself, except for your IP address (which may be considered personally identifiable information in some jurisdictions). For all Users, 7Mainstreet automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address and the pages you request. If you are a Member, we request personal information when you register including your e-mail address, name, address, gender, and age. You can view and update this information on your 7Mainstreet My Profile page. You can choose to display certain elements of your profile to other Users. If you would like to participate in a fee-based service such as posting items for sale in the Marketplace, we will ask for your billing address, phone number, and credit card information. We collect other profile data including but not limited to: the Content you post on your Web site, in blogs, forums, groups, and reviews. We track your use of 7Mainstreet Services in a log file. If you post Content to a Web site, bulletin board, forum, blog, review or any public area on the 7Mainstreet Web Site, you should be aware that any personally identifiable information you submit there can be read, collected, or used by other Users, and could be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for further distribution of the personally identifiable information you choose to provide.
USE OF INFORMATION ABOUT YOU
Our primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide you with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. We use information for the following general purposes: billing, identification, authentication, services improvement, service delivery, User contact, service announcements, advertising, research, customization, and anonymous reporting. IP addresses may be used for various purposes, including: diagnosing or servicing technology problems reported by our Users or engineers that are associated with the IP addresses controlled by a specific Web company or Internet Service Provider, estimating the number of Users visiting 7Mainstreet from specific geographical regions, and determining the geographic location of a Member claiming a business. We share information with our affiliates and advertising partners as described below.
We may share the personal information we collect in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding suspected illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, suspected violations of the User Agreement, or as otherwise required by law. We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal or administrative process served on us.
Except as provided in this Privacy Policy, we do not share your personally identifiable data with third parties.
SERVICE-RELATED ANNOUNCEMENTS
We will send you certain non-promotional notices in connection with the 7Mainstreet Services. For example, we may send you notice if we are implementing an upgrade that will temporarily suspend our service. There may be other information regarding 7Mainstreet Services that the law requires us to send you. We may send you this information in electronic form via e-mail or online posting. Generally, you may not opt out of these communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option of terminating your Membership by deleting your 7Mainstreet account or profile. To delete your account or profile, follow the delete account or profile link on your 7Mainstreet My Profile page.
ADVERTISING, OFFERS, NEWS AND INFORMATION FROM 7MAINSTREET AND OUR AFFILIATES
Unless you remove the check from the box next to "Click here to learn about special offers from 7Mainstreet and our partners" on the registration page or in the My Member Info section of your My Profile page, we may use your name, e-mail address, address, gender, age, and other personal information to send you advertising, offers, news, and other information from 7Mainstreet or our affiliates. Affiliates are businesses or persons that pay us to host their ads, send information to potential customers, or provide other marketing support. After you register, you may choose not to receive this information by changing your preferences on the My Member Info section of your My Profile page. You may also unsubscribe to a particular type of e-mail communication by following the unsubscribe link provided in the e-mail communication.
COOKIES
A cookie is a small file that is stored on a computer for record-keeping purposes. You may be able to configure your browser to manage how it deals with cookies. For instance, you may be able to have your browser accept all cookies, reject all cookies, or notify you when a cookie is set. If you reject all cookies, you will not be able to use 7Mainstreet products or services that require you to "sign in" and you may not be able to take full advantage of the 7Mainstreet Services. 7Mainstreet uses cookies for a number of purposes, including to: access your information when you "sign in"; keep track of preferences you specify while using 7Mainstreet services; display the most appropriate advertising banners for you based on your interests and activity on 7Mainstreet or elsewhere; estimate and report our total audience size and traffic; and conduct research to improve 7Mainstreet content and services. We do not link the information we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information you submit while on our site, other than your IP address, which may be considered personally identifiable information in some jurisdictions.
LOG FILES
We gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes IP address, browser type, Internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.
We use this information, which does not identify the individual user, to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track Users' movements on the site and to gather demographic information about our users as a group.
THIRD PARTY ADVERTISERS, AFFILIATES, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS
We share information we collect about you with a third party service provider for the purpose of processing your payments for 7Mainstreet fee-based services, such as transaction fees for selling items in the Marketplace and listing fees for Sponsored Links, Featured Businesses, and Featured Products. If you do not want your information shared with our third party service provider, you have the option of not purchasing fee-based services.
Ads appearing on 7Mainstreet may be delivered to Users by 7Mainstreet or one of our Web advertising partners. We share Web site usage information with our advertising partners for the purpose of targeting our banner advertisements.
Our policies may be different than those of our advertising partners, affiliates, or service providers. We are not responsible for the conduct of our advertising partners, affiliates or their policies or practices. Our advertising partners may use cookies or Web beacons to collect information and deliver targeted advertisement that they believe will be of most interest to you. Cookies are described under Cookies above. A Web beacon, also known as a clear gifs or Web Bug, is a tiny graphic with a unique identifier that is used to track the online movements of Web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a user's computer hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on Web pages and are about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.
PROMOTIONS, CONTESTS, AND SWEEPSTAKES
From time to time, 7Mainstreet or an advertising partner may sponsor a promotion, sweepstake, or contest on 7Mainstreet. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply. Participation in these contests and sweepstakes is voluntary. If you choose to participate, you may be asked to provide personal information including name, email address or home address, or to answer questions. The information that you provide may be transferred to our advertising partners. Promotions, contests, and sweepstakes are void where prohibited.
SECURITY
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as a credit card number) for a 7Mainstreet Service, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. CHANGES TO OUR PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page and will indicate at the top of this page the date these terms were last revised. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by posting the changes on the 7Mainstreet Web page or by e-mail. It is your responsibility to check the 7Mainstreet Web page regularly to determine if there have been changes to this privacy policy.
